This year marks a special milestone for our founder, Deborah, as she celebrates 30 years in the field of speech-language pathology, three decades devoted to helping adults and children strengthen their communication skills and restore feeding/swallowing skills.
From schools and hospitals to outpatient rehab centers, skilled nursing facilities, private clinics, and even serving as a speech therapist in a Level 4 prison, Deborah’s career has covered a wide range of experiences. Each role has deepened her commitment to supporting communication across all stages of life and shaped her compassionate, people-centered approach to therapy.
Deborah’s journey began in the Central Valley at California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders in 1994 and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology in 1995. Her work since then has grown through collaboration with dedicated colleagues and years of hands-on experience supporting individuals and families as they build essential communication skills.
When Deborah founded Speech Pathways, she wanted to create a place where families feel supported, children are encouraged, and every session brings growth through play, care, and connection. Her leadership and heart continue to shape who we are today.
Please join us in celebrating Deborah’s 30 years of dedication and impact. We are deeply grateful for her guidance, expertise, and the genuine care she brings to every part of Speech Pathways.
